She is an excellent hip or family partner, and suffers relatively few diseases. With its sense of humor and its animated nature, it is a good combination for an energetic family that a dog seeks to be part of its daily activities. The marked wire tap was originally used for hunting and would be framed, aim and recover water birds, hunting birds and even hares. She has been described as the “supreme huntag” and is still actively used in this paper. She is also an excellent family partner and enjoys any type of work. Many taps have been successful in agility, monitoring and obedience.

Wire Haired Pointing Griffon vs German Shorthaired Pointer | Which One Is Right For You?

Today we are taking a look at the Wire Haired Pointing Griffon. I’m no expert on the breed, but I though you guys might like me to give you a brief overview of what I know and then compare and contrast the WPG to the German Shorthaired Pointer.

The Griffon is a very people oriented dog known for its trainability and high degree of cooperation. Although the Griffon has a great love for the field and is an excellent swimmer, it is equally at home in the obedience and show ring. With its keen nose it is also a natural at tracking. The fun loving side of its personality enjoys agility training. The Griff’s outgoing personality makes it a wonderful family pet and great with children. Overall, the Griffon is one of the best-kept secrets in the Sporting Group and is the ultimate VERSATILE hunting companion.

Wirehairs is a great hunting dog, very expert in hunting, pioneer and game recovery. In the city of California, the AKC performed a multiple breeding test in California City, CA. Among the races present were the German Wirehairs, Staorthairs, Vizsla and Brittanies. I was able to update with Cathie Magoon, who has been reproducing wire for more than 20 years. She shared a lot of information about the history of the race, standard, healthy and temperament.
