South Dakota Pheasant Opener 2024 – My Dog’s First Pheasant Hunt



Who else is taking their dog on their first rooster hunt? What do you think you should expect? Well follow along and we will show you what you SHOULD expect from your pup’s first hunt!

We took our young dog, Cassie, on her first rooster hunt, but we ensured she was prepared! There are three prerequisites you need to do to make sure your dog is prepared for their first hunt: gunfire intro, bird intro, and collar conditioned to recall… guess what? We have a video on that too:
