  1. I'm finding that going to a stronger grip is a better solution. Many LPGA golfers are doing this. Through impact logo on left glove points away from you and right wrist stays bowed. It is much easier to hold off the release and a much more powerful impact position. Google LPGA strong grips.

  2. I went through 3 coaches over 15 years, and neither of them ever mentioned to me that I was cupping my left wrist through impact. I finally went under a computerized harness at Golftech, and they quickly saw that that my left wrist was the problem at impact as per your lesson here. I wish I had learned this 15 years ago. So many, outdated golf coaches and training out there. We can all thank digital technology. And that's why we have so many amazing young players right now. They have all great technically sound and professional swings to follow, and the actual physical reasons behind all these techniques.

  3. Thanks for the video. I'll give it try. Lag and compression are definitely the next things to work on. Right now I think a lot of my issues are stemming from my timing. I am getting a MUCH better response from my swing thanks the the 6 swing steps of where the swing is but still slicing the ball. My lag, compression, and I also positive, my timing, that is my shoulders are coming around before I hit the ball are the contributors to my slice.

  4. Nobody is controlling the positions of the hands as you are describing in the split second of the downswing, especially when the body is moving too.

  5. Hi Robin, I went out to the range today and was starting to shank the ball consistently. I took a video of myself and saw that I was staying in my posture throughout the swing and wasn’t standing too close to the ball. What else do you think it could be?

  6. Great video Robin. I have a similar problem but always thought the solution was opening my hips more at impact. I'd never considered that a solution could be hand position. Thanks!

  7. That was helpful. I have been told that with a driver I should be hitting slightly up on the ball but you seem to be saying I should hit slightly down and that the right arm should not be fully extended until just after impact. I have a hard time understanding lag. I have tried to end the lag just at impact, but I see what you are saying about the wrist breaking too soon. Thanks again.

  8. So this video builds upon what we have been working on with the "unlimited vid reviews" but it was very helpful seeing the video . Thanks and more homework to work on. Now if only the weather was a bit more hospitable.
