This is a Performance Review of the WaveSpin Legend 250 reel and the MicroWave line control system (guides) on Table Rock lake in early April, 2014. The video shows Kentucky Bass being caught on the Z-Man 2.5″ ZinkerZ “Ned Rig” on this rod/reel combo.
The Legend 250 made its impressive introduction in the summer of 2013 to the fishing tackle industry and top anglers at ICAST. It is ideal for targeting bass, pike, walleye, trout and crappie. The reel features a light weight (9.5 ozs) CNC machined aluminum body, 7+1 extreme-duty Japanese steel bearings and the exclusive WaveSpin spool for longer tangle-free casts. With a giant 10 disc alternating front drag system, it produces up to three times stronger drag tension than top competitors.
The MicroWave line control system better controls the friction- causing line slap of the helical coming off the reel while passing through the guides. Thus, the system improves ease of casting, smoothness, distance and accuracy.
Enjoy the show!

WATCH IN HD! Day 2 of practice for the high school national championship. Had a lot better day, most of the fish were caught using finesse soft plastic on light line. Our main lure was a ned rig in a natural color.

In this video, I struggled to find where the fish were hiding on this pond! Pond was in the low 40s with the outside temperature being 40! Cold day to fish, but I finally found some!
I have been wanting to give you all some content out on my boat, but fishing has been so tough that I have had to resort to fishing some ponds! Where’s this warmer spring weather??

Have your bass vanished? Have your favorite Winter spots gone cold? Here’s why! The bass are on the move and they aren’t wasting any time doing it! Every year the bass start their Spring migration in late Winter and for those anglers that haven’t learned to follow them, it can be a very frustrating time.
The key to predicting the bass’ movement is to understand why they are moving in the first place. The ultimate goal of their movements is to spawn as soon as water and environmental conditions allow. The key is locating the key stops along their journey.
If you’re trying to locate fish, electronics can make all the difference. Here is what we are using… Humminbird Solix 15:
