This video discusses canine behavior, dog to dog introductions and fair corrections in a shelter.

How dogs interact with other dogs can often be a determining factor for a dog’s adoptability, in particular for power breeds. Whether or not a dog gets killed will often depend on how a dog engages with other dogs. An integral part of a rescue or trainers decision is based on how a dog will respond to corrections (in particular for aggression). Dogs that respond to corrections are more adoptable because it shows the dog’s ability to respond favorably to balanced training.

Leaving a dog to decide his behavior can be a bad choice, but guiding their interaction with other dog interactions can save them. Teaching dogs good manners when meeting and playing with other dogs gives them the tools to be adopted and live happy lives!
