New England Patriots Set to Explode in 2009-2010 NFL Season

It's NFL football time and I could not be more excited. Each year I have such high hopes for my team (not the Patriots by the way). Of course, things usually go down in flames fairly fast. Today, I wanted to talk about those New England Patriots, who I believe are primed for a huge run this season.

Last year was a disaster for them in that they won a load of games, without Brady even, and still missed the playoffs. Too bad they were not in the NFC.

Still, if they did that well with aging players and a QB who had not started a game since High School, how well will they do in 2009/2010 when they get back one of the better QBs in the league. And they are getting youger.

A key pickup was Joey Galloway, who still has the ability to be a 800-1200 yard receiver. The New England offense is primed this year to score a lot of points. To top it off, they have probably one of the top 6 or 7 defenses in the league.

Personally, I'll be surprised if they do not make the playoffs. And as you know, once New England is in the playoffs, look out. They could go all the way.

As a side note, I'm really hoping we see a Patriots / Colts playoff rematch this season. I think it will be a solid game. Here's to hoping for a great NFL season no matter who your team is. Good luck this year and have fun watching football.
