This tournament was setting up to be a tough one. Fish weren’t biting reaction baits the way I wanted but managed to slow down during the tournament and weigh a decent bag! Finished 42nd out of 200 boats. Not a bad start to the season but 2nd week in a row I missed a check by only 3 spots.
Had another tough tournament on Kentucky lake but managed to bring in some solid keepers! Due to work I was ranked 140th but dropped down to 82nd.
Do you fish tournaments? Ever lose a MONSTER BASS when it counted? We lost a GIANT during this tournament and it cost us the win! We still got 2nd but let’s face it, that’s still just first loser.

This tournament was such a mixed bag of emotions. On the one hand we made excellent decisions and adapted to changing conditions, resulting in the biggest bag of the tournament. On the other hand, we lost the fish that would have easily taken the win. Its easy to look back now and see where we could have adapted but in the moment those split second decisions were the difference between winning and losing.

After fishing the FLW BFL bass fishing tournaments as a co-angler for a few years, I finally decided to bring the camera along for the ride! This was the first tournament of the season in the Shenandoah division and it was on Potomac River. The weather was perfect, but the water was pretty muddy. Nevertheless, a limit was boated thanks a brightly colored spinnerbait and a dark colored finesse worm on a shaky head.
Thanks for watching!!!
